I'm not sure, but Tinister threads projecting the death of forums may be a trend.
Are they a forlorn relic of the late 90s - mid 2000s?
What were they replaced with? To be honest I wasn't paying attention.
Social media I guess. Facebook and reddit. Imgur, even? People seem to communicate more with images and awful gifs than words today.
Some traditional forums have been replaced with more modern software like Discourse. Though I think more are transitioning to cloud-based live chat like Discord instead.
Personally I use Slack for more businessy live chat.
