Don't feel too bad.  The deck was stacked against you the day you were born.

I kind of want to make a "edgy" post on reddit reminding everyone that a whole slew of celebrities will undoubtedly die in 2017 and they should do something about it now instead of complaining about it at the end of the year.

lol i never finished myst but is that the part where u are in like a submarine thing in a maze and u cant see anything but [sp]there are sound cues telling you which direction to go[/sp]?

That's the one.  Took bloody ages.

What? Why?

At every intersection the ship plays a sound identical to the sounds that the map in the "gear age" makes.

I partially figured it out.  From enough trial and error I figured out that [sp]mute branches always led to dead ends[/sp], and that helped.  But I only used the audio cue as a [sp]marker for which section I was actually in, and not as a hint of where to go next[/sp].  Having them layer 2 sounds in some instances made it even more confusing.

The connection with the gear age was pretty silly.  There was no hint that linked them, and once you were in the age there was no way to go back and check it.

You needed to use the same cues to know when to stop spinning the island.  Seared in your brain.

The fortress island?  I did it pretty quick as I'd practiced on the simulator, so I guess I didn't think much of it.

As in I did a turn, got the thing, did a turn, got the thing, did a double turn and went home.  I completely ignored the sounds because I already knew the timings.

The funny part is reading the guy's diaries about his time spent in each of these worlds.  Apparently there (used to?) be whole populations of people native to these places.

Like at the fortress island?  Really?

Well the fortress was created to protect them after some pirates came by, or something like that.  Some pretty odd stuff inside though.

I sometimes wish I could kill off my libido.  But in such a way that I could resurrect it if life situations ever changed on me.
