Godot may be a good contender because if there's something low-level you want to change, you have full access to the engine's source code.i'm in a small community where we make game engines for a certain community event
I don't know if it's ready for "prime time" yet, but I've enjoyed its workflow more than GameMaker in the short time I've spent with it. Node-based trees seem more intuitive for me than GM's pseudo-OOP design.
I think I like tinkering with software more than I like playing video games.
oh neat i didn't know the iji creator went on to co-found ludosity!card city nights 1&2 have a bunch of iji cards in them
iji feels very a Classics of GameMaker to me, glad I still see people playing through it every now and then
i just finished a 2008 game maker game (iji)
i had great times with zero mission and fusion when i was younger but for some reason i have no interest in playing dread.... i keep hearing good things about it though
recently i enjoyed this game https://june-flower.itch.io/washout-spire it is a cool hard freeware platformer like in the good old jumper days. i feel like i flip back and forth between liking these kinds of games and finding them very boring. this one i liked and i got really into it and made a video with commentary....
Okaaaaaay why isn't anybody talking about this?aus 2 looks pretty cool

I've preordered maybe three games in my life, but this was one of them.
hi! i found this place through "clockwork calamity in mushroom worlds' : what would your do if the time's stopped tick ing? "oh hello.... sorry you do not get the soul back but you can have this honeydew :honeydew:
i'm excited to enter the world, but Eivlys wants my soul and I don't k now if it will be ok to just sign it away like that!
is there a guarantee that by the end of the game, i will have my soul back? thank you!

i like anodyne a lot, though mostly because of the postgame.... if it wasnt for how cool the postgame is i would probably think it is just ok. i wanna get around to playing anodyne 2 some timeyes...!! i really love the postgame. i haven't played anodyne2 though. it reminds me of pacman 3d.
What's with VR these days?my response to most decent looking VR games ends up being “looks pretty cool”.
Kind of feels like the catalog hasn't changed much at all.
this forum (which made cat planet).
I don't know if I said it before but I'm so happy that you and Trots got together. That's like the best thing to come out of this forum (which made cat planet).
yes its very cute and sweet :dancedog:Made me smile, thx :3
after all these years i still prefer untitled to celeste.me too but i think nostalgia's a heavy factor. i know the game back to front but i think modern me would probably get frustrated at the sometimes unclear path of progression if i were playing it for the first time today. though i still think untitled does the map better than most metroidvanias today lol.
after all these years i still prefer untitled to celeste.celeste is for gamers who want a perfectly calculated and finetuned speedrunning experience and untitled is for people who want to download weird midis and mspaint drawings off archived 2000s webpages
also hubol apparently there was a siivagunner mashup of #FE11C5 from "2" ???
ahhh tbh i forgot my account pw! for a while i had to make do with another, before i recovered it.
mostly bc i kinda redid my whole active internet presence for a while, did streaming, before realizing that i did much prefer peace & quiet
ive been doing stuff in nim with vulkan for rendering but it proved So Messy that im going back to opengl... but still with a lot of customization. i feel it on 3d asset pain though. my blender ability is limited to a total of 5 hours spent on making a cursed animation
ideally i can get some engine whipped up for the game that ive finally whittled down into a workable small idea. ive tried godot even but just i want the control and flexibility that full control over the game code that going from gl gets me. plus i managed to get nim->shader macros working for both desktop and emscripten, so that's a huge plus. so nice to write glsl in the same language as the rest of the code and be able to target web and pc just by changing build target.
Also can you post the source? I'm really curious what your abstractions over typescript are! I'm also interested in this lexer.js file??!?! And the wmap.png is cool!!!!!!
i think maybe the only thing that bugged me wasSpoiler (click to show/hide)
I wouldn't even know where to begin in creating a DSL. Making me feel inadequate over here ducko.
klonoa ps1 is probably my fave game ever :dancedog: will always recommend, very good 4-5h long platformer

Is the remake (Phantasy Reverie Series) a worthy remake?
https://cohost.org/kuraine/post/3715198-we-have-no-hope-and the kuraine post about void stranger came out and it's rly good as anticipated ...!
or maybe you already played it in the last month since your post.I started it last night actually. Played the first three chapters then was too sleepy to continue. Enjoying it so far!
did anybody see that the lyle in cube sector dev randomly showed up again with a "retro 3d" style platformer. i haven't played that one yet but probably should.

I downloaded the Archthrones demo (https://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls3/mods/1765) for Dark Souls 3. It's purdy good.
Also been playing a lot of Risk of Rain 2 lately. Been slowly leveling up the Eclipse difficulty levels, which basically add a new challenge every time you get a successful win. I played some more Risk 1 after the remaster came out too, but have basically finished with it now.
Am excited for the Elden Ring DLC.
Happy July 17th, friends!Oh my god I forgot to check in this year. Sorry everyone!! Hope you had a great July 17th anyway.
