Because the original versions of the Jumper 2 wallpapers are a bit too small to be used as intended nowadays (as pointed out by SquareWheel), I decided to create a handful of custom variants for both images in a few different resolutions so that they can actually be used as wallpapers on modern displays. (Available on Google Drive along with a quick guide for what size to use in the readme)

I made sure that the upscaled variants retain all details present in their original counterparts, not changing a single thing about Pondwater's original designs (I also made sure to avoid AI when upscaling all the assets; I manually resized the sprites in Aseprite and assembled the rest of the wallpapers in Photoshop). The only notable change I made was resizing the sprites on the right side of each wallpaper, which was done to improve the image clarity and to make better use of the larger file resolutions. Asides from that though, these upscaled wallpapers are essentially as close to Pondwater's originals as I could get them but actually usable on current screens.

Called the 800x600!  Well done to you and q.

I'll mirror them to this server, to reduce the chance of them being lost again.  1 2

I've decided to help out in preserving the wallpapers by uploading them to the Internet Archive and backing up this forum's mirrors of the wallpapers on the Wayback Machine just to be safe. (1, 2)

No worries, I'm glad to be able to share the song with everyone!   ;D

I think a lot of the music probably came from vgmusic.com originally.  It was pretty common for those in the GameMaker community to source tracks from there at the time.  Though I did a quick search and don't see anything from Ben Briggs listed there.

As far as I was able to tell most of Jumper Two's soundtrack was definitely sourced from vgmusic.com (it took a bit of time but I was able to find the original links for all the songs used in both Jumper 1 and 2), however in the case of both Ben Briggs' End Theme - as well as the Final Boss Theme by tdgc/Escapader - I believe they were unique songs made for Jumper Two specifically (especially since not only are those the only two songs directly credited within J2 itself, but also because both Ben Briggs and Escapader were also credited in Jumper Redux for creating that game's music as well), hence why they can't be found on sites like vgmusic and why I ended up extracting the .MIDI directly from the game itself (as well as repairing it after figuring out why it wasn't playing).

I've got a big update in regards to my search for currently unavailable Jumper Two content! While I haven't had any luck in finding the desktop wallpapers yet (although I think part of my troubles are a result of how unreliable Google has gotten, especially since they started going full-throttle on all this AI rubbish as of late), I did manage to find something else that is both currently inaccessible in the game itself and - as far as I'm aware - has not been previously uploaded elsewhere online - Ben Briggs' End Theme  ;D. (there's a download link for the working file in the video's description).

Ever since I first finished Jumper Two, it always struck me as odd that the End Theme listed in the game's sound test was completely mute, since if the last cutscene was supposed to have no music, then why would there be a song listed for it in the game itself (being one of only two songs to have their composers credited in-game as well no less)? Like the desktop wallpapers I was curious to see if it was possible to find this song anywhere online, however after no luck with search engines or the WayBack Machine, I decided to go directly into the source code to find out why the song seemingly didn't play in game (as unlike the wallpapers, the .MIDI would need to be present in the files themselves to play in-game).

Unfortunately this process would be more difficult than I initially thought, as the version of the source code publicly available on the Maddy Makes Games website excludes both this song as well as the game's final boss theme. Because of this, I decided to decompile the main game itself with a third-party tool to see if I could access the song that way (normally I don't mess around with this sort of stuff, but since the rest of the game's source code and its other unique song are both available online, I figured there'd be no harm in doing it just to see if I can find why this one song doesn't play in-game). Thankfully after a bit of searching I was able to find a software which successfully decompiled Jumper Two into an editable format, so with that I was able to do a bit of digging and found the song's original file listed under the name "snd_secret2.mid".

Upon trying to play the file in VLC I quickly realised why it doesn't work in game: something must have happened between Ben creating the song and Maddy implementing it into the game which partially damaged the .MIDI and prevented GameMaker from properly reading it. I was worried that this might have marked the end of my search, however after noticing that the file was around 3000 KB (meaning that the file wasn't fully corrupted, as if it was my computer wouldn't be able to detect a file size at all) I started looking for different MIDI players with the hopes of finding one that could read the file regardless of its damages, and after a few hours I stumbled onto a software called MidiSoundSynth which not only was able to successfully open the file, but also allowed me to re-export it and allow other software to read it as well. After that all I needed to do was go through the file and see if there was any part of the song missing as a result of the damages, with the only noticeable absence being part of the string instrument near the end of the song (which was fairly easy to fix as the strings repeat the same rhythm throughout the song).

Success! After a few days of trial and error I was finally able to find the cause of the song's mysterious absence in-game and get to listen to it as intended for the first time since I beat the game, and while I have yet to find what I was originally searching for (although I'm still holding out hope in my search for the wallpapers), I'm still absolutely wrapped to be able to share this with you all!

Not me, unfortunately.  I've only archived the older Jumper Two Editors.  I didn't realize the wallpapers were hosted online only.

Honestly if anyone had them, it would probably be q.  Or maybe vg.

I only found out that the wallpapers were exclusively hosted online after going into the game's source code (which is still available to download on the Maddy Makes Games website) to see if I could access them that way, but unfortunately the wallpapers aren't in the games files at all and the buttons in the unlockables menu only redirects to now-expired Helix Games URLs, which don't have any working archives available on the Wayback Machine. It was that discovery which prompted me to try and find somewhere to see if anyone potentially still had them.

Either way though, I am glad to have stumbled across this forum. I used to play the Jumper games a lot when I was younger (with Two in particular always being my favourite) and while I never got to visit the original Helix Games forums back when they were still up, I'm happy to have been able to find a forum that not only has a fair bit of the Helix Games content and history archived, but also has active users who are also familiar with the franchise. It's great to get the chance to speak to others that still remember the Jumper.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone still has the downloadable wallpapers from Jumper Two.

I've recently been replaying Jumper Two to unlock all the collectibles, however since the download links for the wallpapers in the game itself have expired, I wanted to see if I could find somewhere to download them online. I had no luck with the WayBack Machine, however after a hefty amount of Google searching I've recently stumbled across this forum and figured that it would be the best place to ask due to its connection to the old Helix Games forum (and since there's unfortunately next to no discussion about the Jumper games elsewhere on the internet nowadays).

If anyone here still has the wallpapers or knows where to download them, would you be willing to share them if possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
