played a demo for a game because people were hyping it up and i wasn't really feeling it at all because a lot of the elements felt like they were lifted from better games without truly understanding them and then i found a cat you could pet and it felt like it encapsulated what i didn't like. did the dev put that there because it meant anything to the game or them personally or did they do it because the epic twitter account made them.
