Well, lost the win streak at 8, so I took a crack at Everdark.  The first team of randos I got was fantastic.  Great synergy in dropping items for each other, and level 15 before the Night 2 boss.  I as raider went down once, but otherwise it was a clean sweep.

Definitely a spectacle of a fight.  Makes me want to get back into Elden Ring proper and actually play through the DLC.

First try?!?! dayum! it took us 16 attempts hahahahaha! after a lot of configuraion, we ended with two guardians just blocking and trying to pull focus from the recluse doing all the damage. the guardians also had a bunch of status effects to apply too.

elden ring dlc is very pretty! a lot of cool stuff there. several fun parry fights there :-)

I am still working on this game!

I quit my job in December. Here are some games I made since then:

Sounds like a big change!  I know finances are tight for people right now, so have an upcute on me.

Actually, I am OK on money for now, and I have taken a part time job at the children's museum. It is paying me a fraction of what I was paid before but is restoring my soul rather than draining it.

Today I showed kids how to fly in the flight simulator, cleaned a window to be painted by a kid, and walked a puppet around the museum. It was really great! :dancedog:

I have been working part-time at a math tutoring center. Definitely working with kids is quite fulfilling I feel (even though in the context of math there are more negative interactions than there would be else-wise). I have also been feeling the stress of not being employed full-time though..... I want health insurance. But anyway, that's hype tho - working a children's museum sounds sick honestly.

Also I'll try to sheck out ur games sometime (I get updates when they release from itch.io actually :p)

If you don’t make much money, there could be government programs that could help you get affordable health insurance!

Math tutoring sounds cute :-) But yeah, probably some negative interactions.

Glad to hear from you both!!!

I played a few of these as they came out.  Seems like you've been having a lot of fun tinkering and experimenting lately.  I think it's cool that after all these years, you've still held on to your distinctive style.  It makes me think back to that article that was written about you and 2 (and how I think we all ribbed the author a little too hard about it).

thanks for playing! and yeah haha I think that article might only exist in web archive. i remember it being funny because it was a pretty naive “freudian” interpretation. crazy that i made that game 12 years ago now…

My first death was from a pickaxe to the face and I regret nothing.

there's so much already going on in the demo, very excited to see how much more is in the full game! love all the different xp systems and shops

my first death was also a pickaxe to the face, was nice to finally make it back up there after around 2 hours of playing.

the enemies hit pretty hard, took me a while to buff up enough beat the bridge bastard and clear the angel basement. probably didn't help that I didn't figure out how to open the inventory for the best part of an hour to equip my shoes. the enemy attack patterns and animations are lovely as usual.

also took me a while to realise that walking back and forth in water was much more effective than just standing/ducking in a puddle

i seem to have gotten one ContractViolated bug after talking to this npc twice. (i believe I'm using the latest windows build as of 7th april?)
